Whilst staying in their team hotel in Monterrey ahead of the tie, some of them decided to make a hilarious spoof video using the popular app ‘Dubmash’.
Edgar Gerardo Lugo (carrying a large lamp), Antonio Briseño (with the smaller lamp) and Enrique Esqueda (with the bedroom phone) seemed to be trying to recreate a scene from the TV series Spartacus, whilst also saying one of the famous club chants.
They say “¿Cuál es nuestro oficio? La U, La U, La U”, which roughly translates as “What is our business? The U, The U, The U” (The U is one of the club’s nicknames).

Tigres have good reason to be relaxed – they have already qualified for the next stage of the Copa Libertadores as group winners with 10 points. River Plate are fourth and desperately need to claim all 3 points to stay in the competition.
