By all accounts Brendan Rodgers is looking to replace Simon Mignolet, this despite his vast improvement in form since the turn of the year, and has earmarked a move for Bosnian international Begovic.
The Metro claims that a £12m bid from the Merseyside outfit is imminent with the 27 year old stalling on a new Potters contract.
Mignolet conceded four at Arsenal last weekend but has on the whole shown a marked improvement in recent months and as such it’s a tad surprising that talk of a new signing to replace him has re-surfaced.
Begovic moved to the Britannia Stadium in 2010 and has made a total of 168 appearances for the club.
Liverpool’s hopes of a top four finish have been dealt a real blow following back to back defeats against Man United and Arsenal, with Rodgers side now seven points off the pace, and as such the club’s ability to attract big names could suffer.
