Away from the official ceremony, droves of fans gathered outside La Bombonera stadium with flags and banners celebrating their club. Many were left disappointed that the club did not organise any kind of event at the stadium.
Boca fans are well-known for congregating outside the ground; the last time they did it was on the 12th of December when the club celebrated “Fans’ Day”.
The club shared a picture via Twitter, with a phrase alluding to the fact that in 110 years the team has never been relegated:

Fans, players, and former players all took to Twitter to show their love for the club on its special day. The hashtag # Felices110AñosBoca (#Happy110YearsBoca) became a trending topic in Argentina.
One of the players using the hashtag was the striker Jonathan Calleri, “#Felices110añosBoca !! Very happy to be part of this institution. Here is to many more titles. Congratulations”, he said.

Another one of the players joining the ‘online celebration’ was Mauro Boselli, who currently plays in Mexico for Club Leon. He said: ‘#Felices110añosBoca thanks for forming me as a player”
