Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers denies dressing room revolt speculation
Five reasons Liverpool must stick with Brendan Rodgers, including possible FA Cup win
The Anfield boss, on Monday morning, rubbished reports that there are problems within the Liverpool camp following the 4-1 drubbing by Arsenal, as reported by Sky Sports, but more details have emerged that suggest otherwise.
The Mirror claimed that Rodgers had a dressing room crisis to contend with after allegedly accusing his players of not playing for him at the Emirates Stadium, and Jim Boardman, writer of a Liverpool column with the Mirror, has since revealed that it was his treatment of Kolo Toure that has infuriated the team.
Boardman reveals that a ‘couple’ of senior Liverpool players ‘tore strips off’ Rodgers after he humiliated Kolo Toure in front of the entire dressing room after the defeat at the weekend. Toure was responsible for giving the ball away a number of times against the Gunners, as Liverpool attempted to play the ball out from the back, with Arsenal’s high pressing causing the Reds real issues.
Rodgers appears to have lost his temper with the Ivorian – but given Boardman’s claims below, that may have backfired in terms of squad harmony.
Been told a couple of senior LFC players tore strips off the boss after Saturday’s defeat, after he’d “had a go” at Kolo.

Won’t use the word used to me about the dressing room but it wasn’t “harmonious”. — Jim Boardman (@JimBoardman) April 6, 2015
Don’t shoot the messenger and all that, just passing it on. One thing I’ll say is it needs sorting – obviously.
