The 26 year old has struggled with form and fitness this term, making just three Premier League starts, and may struggle to force his way back into Arsene Wenger’s starting eleven.
The likes of Alexis Sanchez, Olivier Giroud, Mesut Ozil, Santi Cazorla and Danny Welbeck are all ahead of the England man at this moment in time and Walcott will need to show a marked improvement to return to the Gunners first team set-up on a regular basis.
The Metro claim Liverpool are keen on the former Southampton man but also states that Arsenal are ready to hand Walcott a new £100k a week deal.
Arsenal signed Walcott in January 2006 and after ten seasons at the north London club it’s fair to say the speedy forward is yet to deliver on his obvious potential.
Walcott has made a total of 294 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 72 goals in the process.
