PSG have been heavily linked with the midfield superstar throughout the campaign, and transfer rumours were fuelled when Pogba’s agent insisted that Ligue 1 or indeed its reigning champions would not be too small a move for the in-demand international.
Speaking on Telefoot on Sunday evening, as reported by Ligue1.com, David Luiz praised the midfielder and even went as far as to name him as the nation’s best.
“Pogba is France’s best player at the moment,” Luiz began, “he is an incredible player.”
22-year-old Pogba moved to Juventus in 2012, after agreeing a move away from his former club Manchester United. It was a decision that irked ex-Red Devils boss Sir Alex Ferguson, but it hasn’t come to the detriment of Pogba’s career.
The Frenchman has scored seven goals so far in Serie A this season, and contributed two assists. According to WhoScored he is the sixth-most effective dribbler in the league, averaging three completed dribbles-per-match.
