The 25 year old bagged a brace for Wales away in Israel last week in what has proven a welcome break from his recent Bernabeu based issues.
Bale has come in for a fair amount of criticism from a portion of Real Madrid’s fan-base and the BBC even reported on the former Tottenham man’s car being attacked by supporters last month.
Real Madrid paid £85m to bring in Bale in the summer of 2013 and whilst it was always going to be tough to justify such a price-tag it’s hard to look upon the speedy forward’s time in the Spanish capital as anything other than a complete success.
Bale grabbed 22 goals in his debut season, including strikes in both the Copa del Rey and Champions League finals, and has already notched up 16 efforts this term but he has nonetheless become the subject of abuse from the stands according to the Daily Mail.
Chelsea are willing to offer Bale a contract worth a whopping £217k a week though the Metro claim that such an offer would represent a reduction on his current £300k a week deal.
