According to the Daily Mirror, United were furious with the former Real Madrid man for the manner of his sending off in the FA Cup defeat to Arsenal this week.
The 27-year-old has been highly disappointing since joining the club in the summer, and is now being tipped to attract interest from long-time admirers Paris Saint-Germain once again.
Di Maria’s red card may have been the final staw in his United career, with the club now seemingly set to cash in on their record signing in the next transfer window.
