Real Madrid are suffering an alarmingly indifferent bout of form, summed up in Schalke’s 4-3 victory over the Spanish giants at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium on Tuesday night, yet club president Florentino Perez has backed his coaches and players – labelling them as the “best” in the business.

There has been speculation that Tuesday night may have been the beginning of the end for boss Carlo Ancelotti, with rumours rife that if they fall to defeat in the El Clasico at the Camp Nou on March 22nd – the Italian’s time will be up.
However, in a press-conference on Thursday, Perez quashed such gossip, saying “I want to state categorically that the club has full confidence in our coach and in our players,” as quoted by Sky Sports.
“And I want to say, contrary to a report published today, that whatever happens in the coming days and weeks Carlo Ancelotti will remain the coach of Real Madrid. We have the best coach and the best players that Real Madrid could have.
“As president of Real Madrid, I appeal to our fans to support our coach and our players and ask that they feel proud of them for all they have given us and for all they will continue to give us.”
With the 68-year-old having to resort to an appeal to the Real faithful – all is certainly not well with the La Liga giants.
