Last Thursday was Funes Mori’s birthday, but he got the worst possible surprise in the Copa Libertadores tie with Tigres when he got knocked out by his own player.
He was replaced by Colombian Eder Balanta Alvarez, who will now start on Sunday against Santa Fe.
After the game River manager manager Marcelo Gallardo said “He’s pretty sensitive, he was a unconscious for a few minutes, but he is okay. He has some stitches under his chin”
