The talismanic captain has been out of action since the Reds game with Tottenham Hotspur after pulling up with a hamstring injury.

The 34-year-old has been out for around a month and will be hoping to be fit as soon as possible with the end of the season, and the end of his Anfield career, approaching fast.

Gerrard will join MLS outfit LA Galaxy at the end of the season but may not get the rousing send off he hopes for with Brendan Rodgers insisting his captain would have to earn his place in the starting XI.
