Dinorah Santana, who was quoted by the Daily Mail, said: “We are close to signing for another club. We are in advanced talks. Dani is still available for Barcelona to keep hold of this summer, but he will not wait for them for much longer.
Alves’ current contract expires at the end of the season. He’s yet to be offered a new deal and by all accounts looks set to leave the Camp Nou. Santana added: “People are trying to make Dani look like the bad guy in this situation and that’s wrong. This situation is quite tiresome.”
The player was visibly frustrated during Barca’s Champions League clash with Manchester City, kicking water bottles aside after being substituted, and it’s an incident that is only likely to speed up his exit.
