The 22 year old left Real Madrid for Turin last summer, having failed to force his way into Carlo Ancelotti’s starting eleven plans, and has in recent weeks begun to impress at Juventus and as a result garner a great deal of interest from prospective suitors.
Morata’s recent goal glut, four goals in his last seven appearances, have seen the Spaniard leapfrog fellow countryman Fernando Llorente as a partner for first choice starter Carlos Tevez.
Interest in Morata makes sense though Arsene Wenger’s pursuit of further goal-scoring options is a little harder to fathom.
Arsenal have netted 51 goals in Premier League action alone, third only to Chelsea and Man City, and Wenger can call upon the likes of Olivier Giroud, Alexis Sanchez, Theo Walcott and Danny Welbeck to provide the killer instinct in the final third.
Though Wenger opted to loan out attacking trio Lukas Podolski, Joel Campbell and Yaya Sanogo, the north London side still look adequately covered for striking options.
