Arsenal are apparently ready to make a bid for former Tottenham flop Kevin-Prince Boateng – with the midfielder set to leave Schalke this summer.
Boateng is also being pursued by Inter Milan with Arsene Wenger keen to see off their interest as he seeks to secure the Bundesliga star this summer.
During his spell at White Hart Lane, running from July 2007 to August 2009, Boateng made just seven Premier League starts and didn’t impress before moving to Portsmouth ahead of an eventual move away from the English top tier for AC Milan.
Boateng has however been a success at Schalke but with 18 months to run on his contract with the Gelsenkirchen side it appears he may be vulnerable to approaches.
A move for the attack minded midfielder is hard to fathom given just how many creative options Wenger has in his armoury and we’d be mighty surprised if this move came to fruition.
