Another example of sub-standard officiating in the Premier League.
Gus Poyet has revealed just what referee Roger East said to him when asked why he sent off Wes Brown instead of John O’Shea during Sunderland’s 2-0 loss to Manchester United.

It seems East is actually trying to defend his bizarre decision to dismiss the wrong player after Radamel Falcao was felled in the Sunderland penalty box.
East showed Brown a red card when it had been in-fact O’Shea who had made the crucial contact to floor the Colombian.
However, the referee has said in the post-match furore to Sunderland boss Gus Poyet that there were in fact two fouls committed on Falcao and that’s why he was justified in sending Brown off.
Footage of the incident, though, seems to show that O’Shea got the crucial contact and should therefore have been the man to walk.
