The Serbian defender, who only left Old Trafford for the San Siro at the end of last season, has not managed to impress during his time in Serie A, and is now seemingly on Brendan Rodgers’ radar.
Liverpool are keen to strengthen at the back after some unconvincing form in that department this season, with £20m summer signing Dejan Lovren badly struggling to settle at Anfield.
Vidic is experienced in the Premier League and has previously been regarded as the best in the country, though he looks a risky buy at this point having looked past his best for a few years.
