The Serbian midfielder got this marching orders twenty minutes from time after he angrily pushed Ashley Barnes to the floor.
To many it would be considered a fairly indisputable red card but clearly Mourinho feels otherwise, making his feelings on the matter well known in a post-match interview.
When asked if he would appeal against the sending off Mourinho stated;
‘Don’t make me laugh, because I am not in a mood to laugh. Have you ever seen Chelsea win an appeal?’
Burnley recovered to level against Chelsea, with Ben Mee equalizing Branislav Ivanovic’s early effort, and in doing so have offered Man City a chance to close the gap on the West London side.
