Liverpool Face Competition From Fierce Rivals Everton In Race to Sign Defensive Target
The Reds have not had a stellar season to date but have hit a decent run of form in recent weeks.
This has coincided with the Northern Irishman finally having a near full squad to select from, whilst summer signings have also now had time to bed in.
The 42-year-old said, “People watching us now are seeing the return of the domination. That was never the case earlier in the season, it was always a feeling of ‘where is it going to come from?’ Now, the efficiency at the top end of the field is really good, the balance behind is good and the structure is ticking all the boxes.
He added, “We are defensively strong, very creative and even more important is the ability to press the ball. It is a far cry from what we were a few months back.”
Luckily the Merseyside club are still in with a chance of getting in to next season’s Champions League through both the Europa League and the domestic qualification places.
The up and down form of Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham has meant Liverpool are still in the running for a top four finish despite a fairly average Premier League campaign to date.
