“Get Me Yaya Toure”, Pleads Inter Boss Roberto Mancini

Toure could end up in Serie A..

Roberto Mancini has pleaded with his hierarchy to try and bring Yaya Toure to Inter this summer.

The former Man City boss brought Yaya Toure to the Etihad Stadium in 2010 and the Italian now wants to be reunited with his former player.

A few years ago this move would be impossible due to the financial package it would require to prize Toure away from the Premier League.

However, with Inter having a new owner intent on re-installing the clubs position among Europe’s elite whilst also making a statement that Inter are now a buying club once again, this move is possible.

“Yaya Toure? Piero Ausilio [Inter’s sporting director] – put your hand in your pocket,” Mancini told SkySport24 (via the Mirror).

“I had Yaya at Manchester City and I think he is one of the best players in the world.

“It’s not easy, though, because he’s at Manchester City, so it’s up to him and whether he wants to come and play in Italy, after playing in the other major European leagues.

“He’d be a big signing not just for Inter but also for the Italian league’s prestige as a whole.”

Toure wasn’t part of the nucleus at Man City that extended their contracts earlier on this amid the whole ‘birthday cake’ incident.

At 31, he may feel it’s time for another challenge.
