Reports in the Daily Mirror explain that the England international participated in a session alongside his Gunners teammates at the club’s London Colney base, as the players prepare for a fifth round FA Cup tie against Middlesbrough on Sunday.

Wilshere will not be in the squad for the game against Championship leaders Borough, but his imminent comeback is good news for both Wenger and Three Lions boss Roy Hodgson, whose next England squad will be chosen next month.

Elsewhere, Gabriel Paulista could make his Arsenal debut after his January move from Villarreal. Wenger has not yet used the Brazilian due to concerns over his language skills.
