West Ham news
The England international has been plagued by injuries since he joined the club from Liverpool last season, though he had appeared to come back strongly this season with some decent form for Sam Allardyce’s side.
Still, he is now unlikely to play again this season after being assessed by a specialist following from a knock to his knee sustained in West Ham’s last game against Southampton in the Premier League.
Carroll made 12 league appearances for the Hammers this season, scoring five goals.
