The 31 year old has helped the Ivory Coast to secure an AFCON title but during his absence Manuel Pellegrini’s side have fallen way off the Premier League title pace.
Man City have failed to win any of the four Premier League games since Toure left for international duty and are now seven points behind leaders Chelsea.
“We have 38 games and if we want to achieve it [retaining the title], we have to win all the games.” Insists Toure
“I know it is difficult, but now I have to go back and do my duty again.”
New signing Wilfried Bony is also on his way back from African Nations Cup duty though neither he nor Yaya Toure are expected to be involved in Man City’s Wednesday night trip to Stoke City.
