The Spanish giants signed the Costa Rican international after a successful World Cup campaign but the 28 year old has struggled to unseat Iker Casillas as Carlo Ancelotti’s first choice starter.
Navas has made just two La Liga starts this term and experienced keeper is ready to leave the Bernabeu and is a player that interested Anfield boss Brendan Rodgers.
Though Belgian Simon Mignolet has improved of late it appears Rodgers is still keen to bring in a strong alternative to either keep the Liverpool keeper on his toes or indeed replace him if he drops any more clangers.
Ancelotti has been linked with an interest in Man United’s David de Gea and that may well not please Navas though one imagines Liverpool’s hopes of luring the former Levante man to Merseyside would depend a great deal on whether the club had Champions League to offer the Real Madrid man.
