Ronaldinho’s debut this season looks more and more distant every day; now the Brazilian star has had to pause his preparation due to a severe bout of flu.
Ignacio Ambriz, manager of Queretaro, explained that the Brazilian was doing well in his preparations, but has had to stop due to the illness.

“Ronaldinho had very strong flu symptoms and could not recover. He will try to join the training sessions and we will try to help him recover as quickly as possible,” said Assistant Manager Edgar Lozano.
Ambriz revealed the news during a recent press conference, saying “He was doing well but Rona (Ronaldinho) is unfortunately very sick and needs to rest”.
With Ronaldinho’s absence it has been more complicated for Ambriz to integrate his new players into the squad. Ambriz said he will continue starting with the goalkeeper Tiago Volpi whiled Patricio Rubio will remain in the bench.
Not only the manager but also the fans hope the South American star can recover quickly to support his team during the league and cup. In their last match Queretaro was beaten 2-1 by Pachuca, and they have looked short of attacking ideas throughout January.
