Arsenal transfer news
The French international shot-stopper has shown himself to be one of the top players in the world in his position since moving to England from Lyon in 2012, and is now on Arsene Wenger’s radar.
The likes of Real Madrid and Juventus have also shown a keen interest in Lloris, but the Gunners are considering him as a surprise contender to replace Wojciech Szczesny as their number one after some poor form from the Pole this season.
David Ospina is also yet to convince for the North Londoners since joining from Nice in the summer, and the France captain would no doubt represent a cut above those two players in terms of quality and pedigree.
Still, Spurs will surely do everything they can to prevent Lloris moving from White Hart Lane to the Emirates Stadium in what would be a highly controversial move, with echoes of Sol Campbell’s switch in 2001.
