MLS outfit FC Dallas have not offered a contract to former Chelsea midfielder Michael Essien.
The 32-year-old Ghanaian is in the final year of his current deal with AC Milan.
It was reported in the Italian media that Essien would leave Milan for Dallas at the end of the season.
However, Dallas technical director Fernando Clavijo has rejected those claims.
“No, it’s not accurate. No, it’s not at all,” Clavijo told the Dallas Morning News.
“We know Michael Essien of course. Everybody knows him, but we didn’t offer anything at all.”
Essien reportedly turned down a move to QPR recently, because he did not want to play against Chelsea.
