The 31 year old is apparently unhappy at the Etihad Stadium and may be open to a move to the San Siro, with this source claiming a fee of as little as £6.7m could secure the Ivory Coast international powerhouse.
This season Toure hasn’t hit the heights he reached last term and could become the latest in a line of quality signings Mancini has made.
The Serie A side have captured Arsenal striker Lukas Podolski on a loan deal and snapped up winger Xherdan Shaqiri from Bayern Munich although any move for Toure would more likely to occur in the summer given the former Barcelona man is currently away on national team duty at the African Nations Cup.
Toure moved to Man City in July 2010 and has proven a massive success, being key to the club’s collection of two Premier League crowns and an FA and League Cup crowns, and boss Manuel Pellegrini would surely be loathed to lose such a key performer.
