The 33 year old former Tottenham and Man United is apparently available for as little as £1m, a snip when you consider the Bulgarian still has a lot to offer any prospective buyer.
AS Monaco fought for the Ligue 1 title last term and secured a Champions League berth as a result but haven’t been nearly as impressive this term though Berbatov has certainly made an impact at the principality side.
The cultured forward has netted five goals in 12 Ligue 1 starts and is AS Monaco’s top scorer, proving that despite his advancing years Berbatov still has what it takes to make an impression.
One imagines there would be a fair few sides interested in bringing in Berbatov, especially for such a fee, though the attacker will demand wages around £70k a week and that could prove to be an obstacle.
