La Liga side targeting move for Emirates Stadium forward Joel Campbell.
La Liga strugglers Real Sociedad are targeting a January move for Arsenal and Costa Rican forward Joel Campbell, report the Mirror, after a tepid home defeat to Rayo Vallecano on Saturday highlighted the Basque club’s requirement for someone who can find the back of the net on a consistent basis.

Sociedad manager David Moyes is keen to bring Campbell, who has been very much a fringe player at the Emirates Stadium since returning from a loan spell with Greek giants Olympiakos this summer, to La Liga on a loan deal and will push Gunners boss Arsene Wenger for an answer this week before potentially pursuing other targets.
Despite a promising start to life as manager at Sociedad, Moyes’ side are struggling horribly for goals as Mexican Carlos Vela struggles to show the form that he has enjoyed over the last couple of seasons as the club have challenge in the top half of the league, with the summer loss of Antoine Griezmann to Atletico Madrid clearly having a hugely negative impact.
Campbell really caught the eye with his performances for surprise packages Costa Rica at the World Cup, but has so far been unable to translate that form in Arsenal colours.
