Ivory Coast have been dealt an injury scare ahead of their 2015 African Cup of Nations opener against Guinea in Malabo on Tuesday afternoon, report the Mail, after star man and Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure was forced to sit out training on Saturday.

Toure received treatment and did stretches whilst the rest of the Elephants team trained ahead of a match against Guinea that they are expected to win, bouncing back from a surprise 2-0 friendly defeat to an under-strength Sweden team in their final warm up match ahead of the tournament.
This tournament could represent the final opportunity for Toure to lift the African Cup of Nations, with the Ivory Coast having continually failed to live up to their billing as favourites for the tournament in an era that has seen Toure line up alongside the likes of his brother Kolo and Chelsea striker Didier Drogba.
The box-to-box midfielder has been enjoying his best form of the season to date for City in recent weeks and is likely to be key to his side’s hopes of finally living up to their clear potential.
