Liverpool transfer news
The Cameroon international is currently at Upton Park on a season-long loan deal from the Catalan giants, and has performed well for Sam Allardyce’s side after a difficult couple of years in La Liga.
Having starred in the Premier League with Arsenal earlier in his career, Song made the big move to the Nou Camp in 2012 but then struggled for regular playing time before being shipped out on loan this season.
The player’s fine form has seen Liverpool show an interest in his services, with Brendan Rodgers on the lookout for quality additions in midfield as Steven Gerrard is set to depart for LA Galaxy at the end of this season.
Song could be an ideal candidate to come in, but West Ham remain confident that they can win the race to sign him permanently ahead of the Reds.
