With neither north London side likely to meet the Hammers valuation for the 26 year old New Zealand international this month it appears that a summer move is on the cards, when Reid’s Upton Park contract expires, and Spurs are ready to meet his demands.
White Hart Lane chairman Daniel Levy is hopeful of winning the race for Reid and is willing to hand the in-form centre-back £60k a week and a £1m signing-on fee.
Reid has been pivotal to West Ham’s excellent start to the season but is certain to leave the East London side.
Mauricio Pochettino is seemingly making room for such an acquistion with the Argentine manager ready to listen to offers for French defender Younes Kaboul this month.
Turkish side Besiktas have made an offer which fell below the club’s valuation but may return with a fresh offer.
