Assuming that van Gaal doesn’t wish to welcome back loaned out forward Javier Hernandez and factoring in Robin Van Persie’s advancing years a move for Perez may be a sensible and cost-effective option to consider.
Magpies owner Mike Ashley has displayed in the past his willingness to cash-in on Newcastle United’s top talents and a good offer may well be considered.
