Chelsea are reportedly waiting in the wings to swoop for the signing of Swansea City striker Wilfried Bony in case his proposed move to Manchester City breaks down, according to the Daily Express.

Chelsea transfer news
The Ivory Coast international is supposedly in talks over a move to the Etihad Stadium, though the two clubs are stalling over his transfer fee, with City unwilling to overpay for the player.
While Swansea have set an asking price of £30m, City only want to pay around £25m for the powerful forward, who has been in superb form in the Premier League this season.
Although Chelsea already have plenty of options upfront, it is thought that Jose Mourinho would be keen to add to those options if Bony’s move to City falls through.
With Diego Costa and Loic Remy suffering a number of injuries this season, and with Didier Drogba only at Stamford Bridge on a short-term deal, Bony could prove a useful signing for the Blues in the long run.
