New York City FC fans are not happy with the transfer saga surrounding Lampard.
Former Chelsea midfielder and current Manchester City loanee Frank Lampard faces being jeered by suppporters of MLS expansion club New York City FC when the former England star finally makes his protracted move to the Big Apple, report the Daily Mail, with fans of the new club less than impressed with the way that Lampard’s transfer has been conducted.

Lampard was presented as the marquee signing, along with Spanish striker David Villa, of new MLS club New York City FC and was initially due to join the club for the start of their maiden season in the spring – but that will now be delayed until the end of the Premier League season after Manchester City extended his loan spell at the Etihad Stadium.
The former Chelsea star has proven to be far more influential and important to Manuel Pellegrini’s plans than had first been anticipated, with a number of trademark goals having helped City right back into a straight title duel with Lampard’s former fans down at Stamford Bridge.
His performances for City have found less appreciation Stateside, however, with the Mail report suggesting that sections of the New York City support are planning to boo and jeer Lampard when he finally does turn out for the club in the latter stages of the MLS campaign.
