Rabiot Arsenal: Gunners chase PSG starlet
The 23 year old Swiss international has struggled to retain a foothold in the Allianz Arena starting eleven under Pep Guardiola and may well be ready to leave the German giants.
Shaqiri was considered one of the hottest prospects in European football when he moved from FC Basel to Bayern Munich in the summer of 2012 but has seen his chances dwindle over the past two seasons and has started just three Bundesliga fixtures this term.
Shaqiri, who has been told he can leave Bayern in the January transfer window, has been linked with several Premier League sides, including Liverpool.
Though Bayern Munich are looking to secure £18m from his sale they will apparently settle for as little as £10m according to this source and Arsene Wenger will look to sell Lukas Podolski and Joel Campbell to help make room for his arrival, whilst handily financing the transfer with funds made from the sale of the Gunners duo.
