The 21 year old Belgian, Eden’s younger brother, netted his first goal for his Bundesliga side over the weekend and boss Lucien Favre wants to keep hold of the Blues youngster.

Thorgan appears keen to remain in Germany which is perhaps unsurprising given the number of players who would be ahead of him at Chelsea if he were to return.

“It’s an option to stay at Gladbach longer,”

“But it’s just too early to talk about it now.

“The decision will be made towards the end of the season. I feel great here.”

Hazard has made seven starts for Monchengladbach in all competitions and has racked up four assists and scored twice.

The talented attacker moved to Stamford Bridge back in July 2012 but is yet to play a single senior fixture for the west London club.

Thorgan spent the past two seasons with Belgian side Zulte Waregem and proved a massive success and has already been capped at full national team level and as such may not feel all that great about returning to Chelsea just to warm the bench.
