Marco Reus will snub Chelsea and Bayern Munich and is eyeing a move to Spain according to German tabloid Bild.
The story contradicts the widely thought scenario that Reus will be purchased by Bayern Munich this summer in a similar way to a host of Dortmund stars in the past such as Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski.
Reus is available for just €25 million this summer, a paltry figure for any of the European giants continually linked with his signing, and it was also reported in England last week that Chelsea had emerged as favourites for the attacking midfielder just last week.
However, Bild claim they “know a secret”; that Reus is trying to improve his Spanish and has been taking language lessons for the past three weeks.
The paper say the boy-hood Borussia Dortmund fan also supports Barcelona and his close relationship with goalkeeper Ter Stegen could pave the way for a move to Catalonia.
The transfer would be slightly ambitious considering Barcelona will be 6 months into a year long transfer ban when they supposedly want to sign Reus and would not be available to do so until January 2016.
However, the paper remains defiant that Barcelona looks the likeliest destination for the in-demand 25 year old.
