Arsenal Turn To New German International If Sami Khedira Bid Fails

Arsenal are looking at a new German target…

The Daily Star are reporting that Arsenal may be considering a £20m bid for German midfielder Christoph Kramer.

The Gunner’s main target is Sami Khedira, who was thought to be available in January. However the injury to Luka Modric has made Khedira indispensable to Carlo Ancelotti, and so Arsene Wenger has been forced to consider other options.

Defensive midfielder Kramer is in the middle of a two year loan deal at Borussia Monchengladbach, and his parent club Bayern Leverkusen know that his impressive form in the Bundesliga will make him difficult to keep hold of.

The 23-year-old has already discussed his interest in playing in countries other than Germany, and his all action style should make him a perfect fit in the English top flight.

“[moving abroad] has always interested me. I would not be afraid. I want to find out what my limit is and I always strive for the very best.”

The German international’s Europa League performances have been particularly impressive, and the youngster achieved a 95.3% pass completion percentage in the two games he started in Europe this term.
