Clearly a move for the World Cup winner is not a long term one but given the fact that when fully fit Daniel Sturridge is clearly more than able to lead the line and as such perhaps only a short term solution is necessary, especially with Lille youngster Divock Origi lined-up to join the Anfield side next summer.
36 year old forward Klose is not happy at Lazio and may be open to a fresh challenge in the Premier League.
“I feel healthy and I feel fit. That is why my claim is that I should be playing more often.
“I am definitely not happy with the current situation.” Klose has stated.
Germany’s all time national team record goal-scorer may still have a year or two in the tank and has certainly impressed since moving to the Italian capital in June 2011.
Klose bagged 32 goals in his first two seasons at the Stadio Olimpico and in four Serie A starts this term he has netted three times and provided two assists to boot.
A move for Klose would potentially help ease the pressure on the likes of Mario Balotelli and Rickie Lambert and given the massive sums spent by Liverpool over the summer one wonders if the club’s American owners are willing to spend massively on another forward, and therefore a move for the former Bayern Munich man could be a cost effective option to consider.
