The talented midfielder looks like he’ll get his wish of a January move…
Liverpool’s January plans have been given a boost with the news that target Xherdan Shaqiri will be allowed to leave the club in January.
The rumours surrounding the player’s future have been growing for some time, but it is only now that the German club have confirmed that the Swiss star can leave in January.
“Bayern have already sent out a signal and indicated to him that he can probably go in the winter break, when he wants. I think it’s a shame because he is a great talent,” the Mirror quote Bayern’s club president Franz Beckenbauer as saying.

Shaqiri made a cameo appearance in last night’s loss to Manchester City, a role he has become all too used to playing in recent times. The World Cup star has started only three games for Bayern this season in the Bundesliga, and has fallen behind players like Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the pecking order.
Liverpool have been linked with Shaqiri since the summer, and their chances of signing him look to have improved significantly now that they know he will get his wish of moving on in January. However they are not without competition for the talented youngster’s services, and Man United and Napoli have also been linked with him.
