The German international has been the subject of much transfer speculation for some time now, having repeatedly turned down new contract offers from Real as he looks to make the next step in his career.
Khedira has been at the Bernabeu since his move from Stuttgart back in 2010, establishing himself as one of the world’s top defensive midfield players and attracting plenty of recent interest from big clubs.
However, despite strong efforts from the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea to bring him to the Premier League, the 27-year-old now looks to have chosen a move to Bayern Munich as his next challenge.
The Bavarian giants have been keen to pounce for the bargain signing of this experienced and proven midfield player, and it now looks as though pre-contract terms have been agreed to bring him to the Allianz Arena on a free transfer next summer.
Bayern already have plenty of options in midfield after raiding Real for Xabi Alonso this summer, but the club have been keen to bring in yet another big name.
