Stadio Olimpico boss Rudi Garcia is looking for a long term replacement for his current first choice custodian Morgan De Sanctis, who has already publicly stated his intention to leave the Serie A side at the end of the season, and will hope that carrot of Champions League football will tempt the White Hart Lane star.
Spurs bought Lloris in 2012 from Lyon in a £12m deal and is arguably the north London side’s most consistent performer but a lack of a Champions League berth could perhaps leave the French international open to a possible exit.
Mauricio Pochettino may struggle to retain Lloris if he fails to secure a Champions League berth whilst AS Roma look likely to retain their foothold in the competition.
AS Roma finished last term in second spot and look likely to be the only side to keep pace with Juventus this season with Garcia perhaps feeling that Lloris can help in his pursuit of silverware.
