Pardew allegedly told Gutierrez he no longer had a future at Newcastle, and that he had to find a new club just days after he returned from chemotherapy. The recently recovered star has claimed that he will “never forgive” Pardew for his words, and with the Argentine set to return to training with Newcastle shortly the comments could certainly cause some problems.

Football is of course a business, and if a player is unable to perform his duties, or even not at the level required by the club, then it’s understandable that they will be let go. But the timing of the whole thing is a PR nightmare.
There is of course the usual possibility of mis-quotes and quotes taken out of context, but whatever way you look at the situation it’s not fantastic.
