Madrid do not want to sell after Modric’s injury.
The news that Luka Modric could face up to four months on the sidelines means Real Madrid are no longer willing to sell Sami Khedira to either Arsenal or Chelsea, according to the Mirror.

Modric tore a thigh muscle during Croatia’s 1-1 Euro 2016 qualifying draw with Italy on Sunday and although nothing has been officially confirmed as yet the 29-year-old is expected to be out until at least the New Year.
This has scuppered any plans that other clubs had to sign Khedira, with the Germany international strongly linked with a move away from the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in January until these latest developments.
The 27-year-old is in the final year of his current contract in the Spanish capital and was expected to be sold in the New Year so that Madrid at least made some money from the 2014 World Cup winner, rather than losing him for free next summer.
This departure was looking all the more likely as Los Blancos head coach Carlo Ancelotti continued to use Modric and new signing Toni Kroos as his preferred central midfield partnership.
To date Khedira has only made six appearances for Madrid this season, but that looks likely to greatly increase now with only the German and Asier Illarramendi available as alternatives to the injured Croatia international.
