Liverpool owner plans stadium name change
According to the Guardian, Liverpool Owner John W Henry is in Dubai, having meetings about potentially selling the naming rights to Anfield.
The billionaire owner of Fenway Sports Group is being accompanied by former chief executive Rick Parry, who left the club when it was owned by George Gillett and Tom Hicks.
The Reds recently received planning permission for the £75m redesign of Anfield’s main stand, and with the club looking to recoup some revenue in the short term, the sale of naming rights for the new stand, or indeed the whole ground, are very much on the cards.
