River Plate emerged victorious from their Copa Sudamericana quarter-final first leg last night.

Rodrigo Mora levelled up the score after 53 minutes, and an own goal from Schunke gave them the win. There was a late twist, with River’s Carlos Sanchez getting a red card in the 84th minute.
