The 18 year old netted twice on his senior debut in May and has made two sub appearances in the Premier League this season and has certainly impressed when called upon.
Wilson hopes to play some part in the Manchester derby on Sunday.
“Obviously, it would be great to get on the pitch for a few minutes,” he said.
“Any minutes on the pitch really, whether it’s for the first team or the Under-21s is great for me to get my fitness back.
“It was great being on the pitch being with the players and getting involved against Everton. It was brilliant, getting on, it was great.”
Wilson has a fight on his hands to get noticed at Man United with the likes of Radamel Falcao, Robin Van Persie and Wayne Rooney ahead of him in the striking pecking order.
“It’s great to be in contention with such names in the world of football as theirs. Obviously with the competition in training and even in the games as well, if I can just get a few minutes here and there, then hopefully I can get my chance further down the line.”
The exits of Javier Hernandez and Danny Welbeck, both of whom were struggling for first team action, may send a salient message to Wilson though clearly the forward is still very young and has time on his side but is certainly a player with a bright future.
