It has transpired that they sold a player – Doneil Henry – to an unnamed Cypriot team for an undisclosed figure more than six months ago, but loaned him back indefinitely.
The fans, media, and other MLS sides were all unaware of the situation.
It is regarded as a clear attempt to circumvent the MLS salary cap – and needless to say it has not been well received by those close to the league.
#LRT Total-clusterf*ck FC. Apparently Doniel Henry has been sold (and signed on loan) from an unknown Cypriot club for unknown amt of time.

.@tbez10 and #TFC should just come clean and not hide player transactions. Absolutely no excuse for shady business behind the scenes.

The subterfuge employed by those running #TFC is just incredible. Just. Tell. The. Truth. The fans are smart – they can handle it.
