Having raided the Westfalenstadion side in recent seasons to bring in Mario Gotze and Robert Lewandowski there is every chance the Bavarian side will look to conduct another such move, not least as Reus’s buyout clause stands at a very reasonable €25m (£19m).
Gotze is keen to be reunited wit his former team-mate and Rummenigge has now confirmed the Bundesliga champions will soon make a decision on a possible bid, stating;
“To be honest, we’ll discuss the matter internally and calmly. Then we will come to a decision,” he told Kicker.
“At the end of the day, the player has to decide too. His release clause is well known. There’s nothing more to say.”
Bayern Munich had attempted to land Reus in 2012 but the talented attacker opted to join the then Bundesliga title holders Dortmund.
